Combining his gift for literate songwriting with his broad musical talents, Travis Kline formally enters the music scene with his debut self titled EP. Vastly creative, Kline’s compositions reflect deep musical roots blending old-time Country influences with decidedly timeless Rock ‘n Roll.

This singer/songwriter/musician was indelibly shaped by growing up in the small country town of Raymond, Maine. Spending four years in the South in his high school years further deepened his love of traditional country music and helped set the mood for this EP.

When Jon Graboff of Ryan Adams and the Cardinals heard this compilation he released this review:"...stripped down, unpretentious style of solid, song based rock music...just a straight forward personal statement."

Kline is a highly versatile musician with virtually no formal music training. He plays the guitar, bass, piano, organ, harmonica, pedal steel, drums and percussion along with powerful vocals highlighting depth and intensity. His equal love and enjoyment of two different genres drove him to combine his musical style to intertwine traditional country with classic rock. Outlaw country influences like Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings coupled with rock n roll’s Creedence Clearwater Revival and The Rolling Stones are united in this collection.

Kline is a highly productive artist writing a collection of over one hundred fifty songs to date. This debut EP was written, performed and recorded by Kline and co-produced with R.A. Clark (Pine Point Productions).

Don Perkins Review in the Windham Independent gives an accurate description of the tracks on Kline’s EP:

"Cold New Day" opens the disc like a loaded freight bound for the heartland — one fueled with a good supply of Grateful Dead lyrical melody and early Johnny Cash rockabilly. There’s a strong bottom to it.

"You Don't Change" has a minor tone illuminating Kline's lyrical style-"My admission comes from a long line of loneliness. My confessions come from the times that I've been afraid," Kline sings.

"Elsa" is largely an acoustic-based ballad. Kline laments a lover's return in the song, stating, "So come back to me, my Elsa. Or love I'll never know."

"Empty Streets" has a Rolling Stones feel, like a Mick Jagger foray into country. The background vocals, heavy guitar riffs and honky-tonk piano bridges musical genres.

"Georgia Roads" is a contemplative tune sung in a laid-back and almost whisper-like fashion that could bend the constructs of place and time. A harmonica occasionally pines in the distance. It’s hypnotic, like staring into a bucket filling with drips of water.

"Down at Dawn" culminates the disc like a piece of Neil Young grunge…

Kline has established a growing fan base through his website reaching fans all over the country. The success of his EP has provided a great base toward releasing a full length album which is in the works. He has been featured on local radio stations and his EP has been selling briskly nationwide. Kline is looking forward to broadening his fan base by performing in venues across the country.
